• Fred Gray Awarded American Bar Association’s Highest Honor

August 5, 2023 – Fred D. Gray was awarded the 2023 American Bar Association (ABA) Medal — the association’s highest honor — on Aug. 5 at the ABA Annual Meeting in Denver. The ABA notes, “Gray, once described by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. as “the chief counsel” of the civil rights movement, played a crucial role in many of the country’s biggest moments in the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s.” Gray received the award from ABA President Deborah Enix-Ross.
