Remembering Fallen Workers, Empowering Their Children: Berkley Industrial Comp Supports Kids’ Chance of Alabama
To mark Workers Memorial Day on Monday, April 28, the Alabama Law Foundation was honored to join Berkley Industrial Comp at their Birmingham office for a special presentation supporting families affected by workplace tragedies.
During the event, Berkley Industrial Comp generously donated more than $7,500 to the Kids’ Chance of Alabama scholarship program, which the Alabama Law Foundation administers. These funds help provide educational opportunities to children whose parents have been seriously injured or killed in workplace accidents.
Among those present was Marco Mastin, a past recipient of Kids’ Chance scholarship funds and National Ambassador for the program. Marco’s journey stands as a powerful reminder of the impact that community support can have on a young person’s future.
The Alabama Law Foundation is deeply grateful to Berkley Industrial Comp for their continued commitment to honoring fallen workers and supporting the families they leave behind. Their generosity helps ensure that young people facing unimaginable loss still have access to the education and opportunities they deserve.
